THE VINEYARDS
The 2005 vintage is the first in the story of Trebotti's wines; the white grape varieties are typical of those used in the production of Orvieto DOC wines, such as Grechetto, Trebbiano and Malvasia, the red varieties are the types used for Montepulciano and Sangiovese.
The new vineyards consist of Montepulciano, Grechetto, a selected white grape variety of the area and Aleatico, another traditional local grape variety of La Tuscia.
The farm vineyard will be completed with the variety Manzoni Bianco, to further extend the production and also to pay homage to Ms Giulia, mother of the three Botti siblings; to whom she handed down her experience and passion for agriculture and in particular for viticulture, which has been practiced by generations of her own family in the area of Treviso.
The Manzoni Bianco is indeed a grape variety grown in the Veneto region, created by prof. Luigi Manzoni, family member of Ms Giulia, who after the war, engaged in the reopening of the School of Oenology of Conegliano: Scuola di Enologia C.B. Cerletti.
In this way, the name TreBotti will become synonmous with the high quality of Teverina produce.
